As spring semester gets underway, UMD Engage is excited to highlight our "Spring into Service" campaign. The goals of this campaign are promoting UMD’s commitment to service and supporting our community in navigating the wealth of opportunities offered through the spring. January 21, UMD Service Microgrant Application Open
UMD Engage has been awarded a grant to support student-led, student-driven service this spring semester. Student applicants can seek up to $1,000 in microgrant funds to support a service or volunteer project. Learn more by visiting the application form below. Microgrant Application Form

January 28, Spring Volunteer Fair | 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kirby Commons
UMD’s Spring Volunteer Fair is an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to connect with community partners serving critical needs in the Twin Ports. February 4, UMD Service Microgrant Priority Deadline
Applications submitted before the priority deadline (Feb. 4 at 11:59PM CST) will be reviewed and award decisions made the week of Feb. 10. All applications submitted past this deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all funds are disbursed. Microgrant Application Form

March 8 - 13, Break Away @ Camp Miller
Spend 5 nights at the YMCA’s Camp Miller in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota! Over spring break, take part in service projects at Camp Miller and enjoy the camp’s wide variety of fun activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, target sports, bonfires, and camp games. March 25, Service After Graduation Expo | 10:00AM to 1:00PM in Griggs Center (KSC 202)
This event will connect our soon-to-be graduates with post-graduate service opportunities. Participating organizations include local Duluth AmeriCorps programs, statewide and national service programs, and the Peace Corps. Come find where service can take you! April 3, Catalyzing Community Co-Creation | 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Kirby Ballroom
Hosted by UMD Engage and the Institute on the Environment Duluth, this event brings together our UMD community and partners in the Twin Ports to understand needs and support one another as collaborators. The event will include facilitated conversations on topics such as classroom engagement and directed research as well as time to learn about volunteer opportunities in the Twin Ports. April 6, Spring Fest Service Sunday

Apr 20 - 26, Bulldogs Give Back Week of Service
